Bokhara has a commitment to make your pet feel right at home when you're away for we pride
ourselves in our wonderful services as well as excellent pet care.
From luxury
boarding, doggie day / swim camp, to the our grooming salon and spa - we
are a full services boarding kennel for dogs and cats
(exotics also welcome) for your most
treasured pets.

Boarding & Lodging:
Pets visiting Bokhara will have a healthy, enjoyable & rewarding
experience with all of our fresh country air and our
immaculately clean indoor/outdoor areas for pet lodging and exercise.
Located right on Elk Lake and very close to the
Grand Traverse Bay, and Torch Lake.
Feline Guests are not boarded in small cages in
the same areas as dogs such as your veterinarian or other kennels use, but our
purr...line guests are quartered in luxury suites all
containing play and climbing toys, comfy sleeping beds and extra large
litter boxes - all within a completely separate, quiet,
very quaint, and
unique antique late 1800's era guest cottage.
Fun
Activities Programs: The Bokhara
grounds has over 10 acres of stately white pines and
hardwoods just for our Nature Woods Walks & Extended Hiking Program, and over
7 acres of manicured lawns, with a full 3 acres within a perimeter fence
just for our PlayTime Programs which do include tennis and frisbee session.
And, for the more sedate pet we offer Hugs & Cuddles,
Garden & Grassy Area Strolls
for a quiet and loving experience. See our

Swimming Programs:
Bokhara Pet Resort & Spa is located on the shore of beautiful Elk Lake,
with 300 feet of our very own beachfront for our Swimming Programs, or for
you to take your own pet & family to for a refreshing dip. We
understand that not all dogs like to swim, but there isn't a
single dog that would not enjoy the sedate walk to the lakeshore
and then a bit of fun while at the lake!
