Regular Daily Rates apply Friday — Sunday.
Discount Mid-Week Rates  apply Monday - Thursdays.
Holiday Rates are the day of the holiday and the day on each side of the holiday for a total of 3 days charged at the Holiday rate.  Between December 23rd - January 2nd, and Spring Break Week  at the Holiday Rate is in effect for the entire week of the break.  First time client & senior discounts are valid during the holiday periods.

Admissions:   We reserve the right to deny admittance to pets lacking proof of vaccinations, and/or pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, and/or aggressive behavior. We are sorry, but for the safety of our pet guests and employees we do not board Pit Bulls.

We reserve the right to charge handling fees for excessively difficult or aggressive pets requiring additional staff and\or additional time in order that we may deliver proper care.
Upon admission for services, your signature of contract acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our policies.  Minimum age for all services is 4 months of age with a minimum of two sets of vaccinations current.

Health - All pets arriving must be in good health with vaccination records current. Any pet with signs of pest infestations will be bathed and dipped at the owners expense. Grooming or bathing is recommended for all pets at departing date. Any pet requiring medical attention will be taken to the veterinarian. Charges will be at the owner's expense. Every effort will be taken to contact pet owner prior to treatment.

Required Vaccinations:  The essential vaccinations for your pet are as follows: 

Dogs:  Rabies, 1 or 3 year (puppies six months of age 1 year vaccination)
           DHLP, 1 - 3 years
         
* Bordetella, Administered Twice Annually and administered within the previous 6 months,
             and more than seven days from a requested boarding reservation date
.

Cats:   Rabies, 1 year
           FVRCP, 1 year
           FeLV, not required

All vaccination records must be from a licensed veterinarian. Additionally, we require that you maintain a year-round treatment for ticks and fleas in order to protect our resort from any contamination and thus protect all of the pets. We recommend topical solutions such as Advantage and Frontline.  These products are available over the counter or from your veterinarian. We do not suggest collar prevention methods. Please talk to your veterinarian about your options and frequency of treatment.

* Bordetella is a vaccination to help prevent a condition known as "canine cough".  It has shown that this vaccination has little protection after six months, thus we require that it be administered within the six months prior to a board or grooming stay.  It has also been a known fact that the vaccination can cause a break through and actually cause a mild form of canine cough so it is advisable that all Bordetella vaccinations be given a minimum of two weeks (14 days) prior to any boarding stay.  Please note that Bordetella is a virus family of over 200 strains and that all vaccinations on the market today only cover about 30 of the most common strains.  Bordetella vaccinations do not guarantee any protection from this virus, but it does help if the strains encountered are of the most common variety.  Bokhara Pet Resort takes care to make sure that all pets are vaccinated against canine cough, but we DO NOT take responsibility for any break through, or outbreaks in this large family of virus.

 

Camper Activities Menu   Be sure and take a look at all of the extra Fun Activities we offer your pet while they are enjoying their vacation at Bokhara Pet Resort & Spa. Our programs are geared to the energy level of your pet.  Our activities are charged extra - per session, but do know that our standard boarding runs are very large thus allowing a pet to get plenty of exercise within our runs if you chose not to participate in our camper activities.  We also have a Day Camp / Swim Camp Program for parents with busy pets.

 

 

What to Bring For Check-In:

Check Out:   No charge for the day out if pet is picked up by 12:00 PM (Noon) unless pet has been groomed on that day.  There is a grace period until 1:00 PM before the additional day is charged.

Special Holiday Arrivals & Check Outs:  Bokhara does offer a special check out period on all holidays between the hours of 9 AM - 11:00 AM on the actual holiday date.  Any departures on the holiday date will be charged for the full day of departure.

  Why does my dog need a bath before coming home?    Boarded pets do not stay as clean as they do at home for several reasons. Dogs are very active in the kennel and are normally exercised on concrete, not grass or gravel which helps them stay cleaner but is impossible to disinfect. Although our staff is vigilant in scooping and cleaning, dogs may soil their feet and coat. Longer coated breeds will become more soiled than shorter coats but to ensure a happy and sweet smelling homecoming, both should have a bath prior to going home.

Payment:  Payment in full is required at the time of checkout. We accept payment in the form of cash, check with valid  driver’s license, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and debit cards. We reserve the right to request a non-refundable deposit on all services

Reservation Modifications: If you Need to Make Changes to the Number of Days you have Reserved To avoid being charged for the days reserved seven (7) days’ notice is required to so we will have time to rebook the space that was reserved for your pet:

      1.     Change the number of days you have reserved

    Cancel reservations for all holidays *

* The exceptions to this are Christmas and New Year’s. Changes for these holidays must be made by December 1st  to avoid  being charged for the days reserved.

Holidays - Pets with boarding reservations for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break and Easter will be charged for all days reserved.

Medication Administrations: - $1.00 Per Hand Administration.  Insulin - $3.00 Per InjectionVitamins, food supplements & heartworm medications are not charged for administration. if they are readily eaten from the hand or in their food.

Geriatric Charges may be added if we deem necessary - Starting at $5.00 Per Day Additional.

Sanitary Clean-Up Baths: Any pet in the kennel in need of a bath will be "kennel bathed" at a nominal fee.

What you should bring and should not bring with your pet:

Bedding: If you wish to bring his/her bedding please do not bring anything that can't be washed with bleach. All articles brought in with pets will be returned clean as we frequently wash bedding belonging to a pet guest.

Items From Home: Pets use articles brought in with them as toys and chewing play things, so please do not bring any item which you do not wish to be chewed. Also, large foam or cedar filled pet beds are difficult for us to wash so we discourage you from bringing large beds.   Bokhara Pet Resort provides comfy bedding such as blankets, Kundura pet cots and lambskin rugs to cover the floor of our suites.

Items from home might include toys, towels, small blankets, etc. for these items will contain your household smells and make the pet feel more comfortable while away from home.    Please limit the number of items to 2 or 3 pieces. Label all items with your last name and the pets name.   Do not bring your pet’s favorite toy - bring new toys that will stimulate your pet’s interest. We will take every care with your pet's possessions, but we will not be responsible for items lost or eaten. Keep in mind we do not guarantee return of these items - please only bring items you consider to be “disposable”.

Bowls:  We use stainless steel bowls that are washed and sanitized after each use so you do not need to bring bowls from home.

Veterinary Information:  Please don't forget your current vaccination records! Check our Requirements page to verify you pet has all the required vaccinations. 

Leash and Collar:  Please make sure when you arrive at Bokhara Pet Resort, you bring you're pet into the office on a leash.  For safety we remove all choke chains collars and return them to you along with your leash.

Emergency Contact Numbers:  Every attempt will be made to provide the care necessary for your pet should an emergency occur. It is important that you leave a phone number where you can be reached or an emergency contact person so that communication between you and the veterinarian can take place in a timely manner. If there is an emergency, we contact your veterinarian first. If he or she is unavailable, we contact another veterinarian. Then we call you at the emergency number you provide. Please notify us about any pertinent medical history or problems with your pet.  Emergencies: If there is an emergency, we contact your veterinarian first. If Someone Else Drops Off or Picks Up Your Pet For You:  If you have made arrangements for someone else to drop off or pick up your pet for boarding please let Bokhara Pet Resort know who that authorized person is.  We do not accept or release pets from other than the owner unless prior arrangements have been made.
